A charming coastal town, steeped in rich history

  Before I booked my reservation i literally read every review on this property and let me be the one to tell you that EVERYTHING that was said and described was... read more true. This truly is a gem. I was incredibly comfortable here and did not want to leave. Waking up to the ocean view was surreal, and the amount of produce trees on the property was heaven sent! If you are interested in having some traditional meals pay the housekeeper her fee, trust me its worth it because she can definitely cook! She made two breakfasts and one dinner for us which was inclusive of callaloo and fried dumplings, breadfruit and saltfish, and oxtails with rice and peas. The complimentary welcome care package in the fridge was perfect right down to the mangos! The space itself was incredible, looks just like the pictures no scam! This is real people. The mosquitoes come with the island so just be sure to keep your windows shut or close the connecting door into the rooms so they won't come in. The backyard and ocean was incredible. We explored the grounds, got into the water and spent some time in the cove, and also watched the sunset. I could do on and on about my stay here but i fear no one would read it because it would be too long. Just know your search stops here...BOOK IT! We are definitely coming back.

The photos are exactly as you’ll see, picture perfect and beautiful. The backyard reef is amazing for snorkeling and cooling off. Oracabessa is a wonderful little town and everyone is very helpful including the “Herbal Cafe” which can be found by taking a left out of the property and about a five minute walk on the opposite side of the road. Joel is the guys name and he’ll prep you up a nice local juice and teach you some local history as well as the staff on site are there for you every time you need them. This is absolutely my favourite vacation destination

He really helped us get around town and even took us to this amazing restaurant down a little ways from the house. Book without hesitation

  This was my first visit to Jamaica and I wanted to avoid the typical tourist experience as much as possible. I think Golden View villa in Oracabessa allowed a closer... read more touch to Jamaican culture than a visitor would get in more prominent tourist towns. The staff was friendly and competent. The villa was a large space well kept. The grounds were beautiful with a great view of the Caribbean. It is not, however, especially set up for the elderly or disabled. The stairs down to the ocean were frightening for this old man. In all I had a great time and would certainly consider a return visit. Many thanks to Steven and his great staff.

Steven's home is comfortable and had the amenities we needed. The house has hot water and great water pressure.. I also liked the fact it was secure in a complex, with a remote controlled gate and night guard.
The location and the lovely cove and access to the sea makes this a place I would most definitely return to again.

The kitchen has just what you need for some simple homemade meals. The host is super responsive and gave great recommendations. The location is a little hard to find but once you find it, it’s fine. The security gate at the front makes it feel super safe. It’s like a little oasis! Definitely recommend.

But, guests should know the property has suffered from some wear and tear and there is no AC in the living space. Communication with Steven was great and the welcome host did a great job.
